Quilter in Bushwick, piecing by machine and quilting by hand. I grow indigo, madder and weld in the garden and dye in pots on a camping stove in the yard. Before this I was a nurse, which is why the stitches are so neat. New work goes onto my page when it is finished, not on a schedule.

I make quilts from my own handwoven cloth and from old shirts. Each one is pieced and hand quilted over about two months, and the pattern goes on my page when it is done.
